The judge’s recusal accepted in the trial over the “missing Tempi videos,” proceedings postponed indefinitely

The development comes after 19 hearings, during which the first three witnesses had already testified.

It is noted that the judge’s recusal came after tension earlier in the courtroom, involving an attack by the counsel for the support of the charges, Zoë Konstantopoulou, against the presiding judge.

Among other things, the lawyer described the judge as “dishonourable” and accused her of misleading the court by changing her decision following instructions from above regarding the provision of copies of evidence to the victims’ relatives.

“I have been subjected to many insults; I will submit a declaration of recusal,” the judge had replied, leaving the bench in distress.
