Message from 112 for readiness
According to the Fire Department, the fire broke out around 16:00 near a residential area. For this reason, a warning message was sent via 112 so that those in the area remain on alert.

“Rural and forest fire in the Palaio Panagia area of Paiania, East Attica Regional Unit. Remain on alert and follow the instructions of the Authorities,” reads the 112 message.
